A.Prof. Boyu Qin

Boyu Qin is an Associate Professor and Doctoral Supervisor at the School of Electrical Engineering, Xi’an Jiaotong University. He received the B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from Xi’an Jiaotong University in 2011 and received the Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from Tsinghua University in 2016. His main research interests include power system stability analysis and control, integrated energy systems, power system planning and operation, energy policy and low carbon economy, energy storage technologies and MMC-HVDC transmission systems. He is the author of about 60 journal and conference papers indexed by SCI/EI, holds more than 10 invention patents. Dr. Qin is a recipient of the Second Prize for Outstanding Achievements in Scientific and Technological Research of Shaanxi Universities. He received the Excellent Paper Award 3 times in international academic conferences. He has served as an active reviewer for several IEEE Transactions, IET series, and other international journals. He is an associate editor of Protection and Control of Modern Power Systems.
